At Right: A 1920's Vintage Cap Veil of Silk Tulle wraps the head.  A back interest of starched and stiffened French Lyon lace stands upright in a half crown.  Two strands of opaque celluloid sequins are sewn onto the front at the forehead, while a full cascade of silk tulle drops from the back in a 15 foot fall.

Say, Is it appropriate to wear a vintage veil, gloves or garter during your ceremony?

You bet !

Not only are vintage materials beautiful, but they are  considered good luck for the Bride.

At Right:  A 1950's Beaded Buckram Coronet sits tilted slightly at the back of the head.  A double tiered fingertip length Veil falls at the sides and back.  Worn over a knife pleated Chantilly peplum Wedding Gown. The bride, Marian Fagnant, on her wedding day in 1952.

Fingertip length with Elbow length Blusher, circa 1952

The addition of a beautiful vintage headpiece or veil, opera length gloves... or an antique beaded bag can dramatically change a plain dress into a stunning wedding statement. With just a little searching, the proper vintage accessories can be found!

"A vintage veil is supposed to bring good luck to the bride and a borrowed veil even more so..."
