This
beautiful Watteau gown has been custom dye-painted
Venetian appliqué of the bust,
shoulders and back Watteau. Very unique cap sleeves cascade over the sides.
A split
Watteau train flows from the shoulder area.
With a keyhole style Queen Anne neckline and a sheer overnet at the
shoulders that is covered with Venetian appliqué, the gown is very
distinctive and fluid. The Watteau train can be easily bustled into a
romantic drape at the back waist.
Colors are ivory, cornflower blue, pink, yellow and golden brown.
Twin epaulets of sequined and beaded leaves are sewn at the shoulders.
A center medallion of pink corded leaves feature silver glass beads and
is sewn at center bust.
Crushed cornflower blue velvet
ribbon and variegated Venice daisies trim the skirt edge of
the gown for over six yards.
The entire
skirt and train are edged with seven yards of hand dyed
crushed velvet, woven in and out of Venetian daisy trim.
Bottom circumference of the hem
measures a total of 225
inches or almost 19 feet!
It’s a one of a
kind unusual gown, not another like it in the world.
Hand Dyed, Hand
sewn, one of a kind.
